Our campsite in Isla is a great starting point for a walk or a bike ride. The coastal paths offer spectacular views where rugged mountains meet the ocean, capturing the essence of Cantabria.

These trails include the Camino del Norte, the northern section of the famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, which passes close by. A wonderful opportunity to explore cliffs, coves and forests, all surrounded by truly enchanting scenery.

A region of marshes, sea and mountains

Just a few kilometres away, you can discover the Santoña, Victoria and Joyel Marshes Natural Park, renowned for its rich biodiversity. Birdwatching, ever-changing landscapes shaped by the tides… here, you’ll enjoy a wonderfully peaceful family outing.

Nearby, the Ría de Ajo forms a beautiful natural setting for a walk or a swim at high tide, with secluded coves ideal for relaxing and spending time together as a family.

A variety of visits: history, prehistory and picturesque towns

A camping holiday in Cantabria is also a chance to discover a land steeped in culture. The rich local heritage offers a wealth of interesting places to visit. Less than an hour’s drive away, you can explore the famous Altamira cave, which houses an extraordinary collection of prehistoric cave art. Other UNESCO-listed prehistoric sites are also worth a trip if you’re fascinated by the lives of our ancient ancestors.

To soak up a more urban vibe, stroll through the streets of Santander, Laredo or Castro Urdiales and enjoy the markets, tapas and lively seafronts. Pretty villages like Noja and Somo await you too, with their laid-back atmosphere typical of northern Spain.
